In Q4 2023, the social networking landscape in Ukraine saw notable trends across the top five applications. Here’s a breakdown of their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Telegram Messenger experienced steady revenue, peaking at approximately $138K in the final week of December. Downloads fluctuated, with a significant spike to 183K in the last week of October and another peak at 174K in the final week of December. Weekly active users saw a gradual decline from 12.5M to 12.1M throughout the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger showed an upward trend in revenue, reaching around $13.5K in mid-December. Downloads were highest at the end of December, climbing to 88K. The app maintained a relatively stable weekly active user base, hovering around 9.7M to 9.5M during the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger consistently saw downloads above 50K, peaking at 82K in mid-October. Weekly active users increased from 1.5M to 1.7M by the end of November, before slightly dropping to 1.6M in December.

Threads, an Instagram app had a notable increase in downloads, reaching a high of 105K in mid-December. Its weekly active users also rose significantly, peaking at 554K in early December before settling at 487K by the end of the month.

Facebook saw stable revenue around $1K weekly, with downloads peaking at 79K in the final week of December. Weekly active users remained steady, averaging around 11.3M throughout the quarter.
